Hi,
I’m Jake, the eldest child in this crazy family driving from London to China. At first I thought Dad was joking when he announced that in the summer holidays we would be driving to China. I didn’t think that it was physically possible to get there or for it only to take 3½ months driving less than 4 hours a day. Eventually I leaned the truth about things like the trailer and the fact that it is physically possible to do it and I was really excited. We are seriously going to drive to China! However I did spot some problems with the plan:
1. We would be very bored and uncomfortable.
2. We would all get fed up with each other.
3. How would I sleep if I was squashed up on the trailer roof with my 3 siblings?
4. We would not be able to relax if there was going to be a guide with us most of the time.
5. I would have to miss out the whole of Europe to do my French GCSE.
At the moment I am hoping these will be resolved, but still very excited and looking forward to the trip.
Recently I saw the shell of the car, about to be designed so that it can take us half way around the world. It’s really ugly shell of a car and I think there’ll be very limited space for us inside-no legroom! However from what I’ve heard it’ll be incredible when it’s finished. Plus, I’m determined to get the best seat whenever possible!
